Mendocino County is located in Northern California, about two hours driving time from the San Francisco Bay
Area, approximately 125 road miles north of San Francisco.
It is bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west, is 3,510 square miles in size and has a population of 84,800 people.

The Superior Court of California, County of Mendocino is a unified superior court with courthouses in
three locations:
Fort Bragg,
Ukiah (Main Courthouse), and
Willits.
Additionally, we hold court one day each month in the following
locations:
Covelo,
Point Arena, and

The bench is comprised of
eight judges and one commissioner. The Court employs approximately seventy support staff.
The Hon. Cindee Mayfield is the Presiding Judge for calendar year
2006. The Court Executive Officer is Benjamin Stough.
The mission of the Mendocino County Superior Court is to provide quality equal justice for all by applying the law and Constitution in an impartial and fair manner; to provide an accessible forum to all segments of our community; to resolve disputes in a peaceful, dignified and timely manner; to maintain community respect and a leadership role in the administration of justice.
