TRAFFIC AND OTHER INFRACTION TICKETS MADE SIMPLE

If you need more time to pay the fine, prefer to do community service instead of paying the fine, want a monthly payment plan or have other similar requests, court clerks in Ukiah and Fort Bragg can handle these requests without requiring a judge to approve them and without a court appearance. You may visit the court during regular business hours or mail in form MTR-200 Request for Infraction Resolution Alternatives to make these requests. The clerk will give you a written response in person or by mail.

MTR-200 Request for Infraction Resolution Alternatives

You may submit other types of requests, such as fine reductions, dismissal of charges, additional extensions of time to pay or complete traffic school or community service, eliminate late fees or civil assessments, and other similar requests in writing to a judge. You may visit the court or mail in form MTR-180 Declaration and Request for Relief on Infraction Matter to ask a judge to review these requests. The judge’s decision will be mailed out to you within ten days of the date you submit your request.

MTR-180 Declaration and Request for Relief on Infraction Matter

Please note that if you are pleading not guilty and seeking a court trial or trial by written declaration, this change will not affect you. The court will continue to schedule court trials in person and trials by written declaration.
