Mendocino County Court Jury Duty

The right to a trial by jury is the privilege of every person in the United States, whether that person is a citizen or not. This right is guaranteed by both the U.S. and California Constitutions.

Trials, which allow two or more parties to settle disputes, are decided by a judge alone or decided by a jury. The role of the jury is to make an impartial decision based on information presented during the criminal or civil trial.

REPORTING INSTRUCTIONS

JURORS SUMMONED TO APPEAR MAY 20, 2013 UKIAH

GROUPS 1000 - 1012 YOU DO NEED TO APPEAR AT 9:30 A.M.

GROUPS 1013 - 1019 YOU DO NEED TO APPEAR AT 12:45 P.M.

GROUPS 1020 - 1044 PLEASE CHECK BACK AFTER 5:00 P.M. MONDAY MAY 20th
to see if you will be needed for Tuesday May 21, 2013.

Should you be selected as a juror, please remember these rules about communication:
Do not talk to anyone or let anyone talk to you about the case.
Do not receive or send electronic communication about the case.
Avoid outside information from the internet, newspaper or other sources.
Cell phones are not allowed in the deliberation room.
Please rememeber to leave them in your car at that time

We do not ask for your financial information

Jury staff of the superior courts do not ask past or prospective jurors for financial information such as credit card, and bank account information or personal information like Social Security Numbers. Please do not provide this type of information to anyone claiming to be associated with the courts. Please contact us if you receive this type of request.
