What's available?

Parties in a case and the attorneys of record in a case can view their cases and documents remotely.  In addition, all publicly available civil cases can be viewed remotely, even if the viewer is not a party to a case.  However, California Rules of Court rule 2.503(c) prohibits members of the public that are not parties from viewing certain types of cases unless the viewer is in the courthouse.  These case types include criminal, family law, juvenile, guardianships, conservatorships, mental health, and all types of restraining orders.  The court has set up kiosks to view cases at the Ukiah and Ten Mile courthouses in the public areas outside the clerk’s offices.

What does it cost?

There is no cost to register and search cases with re:SearchCA using the "Basic Free" package.  Other packages providing advanced options such as tracking cases and getting case alerts and reminders are available for a monthly or annual fee.  See the Home page of re:SearchCA for more information.

Documents are available for download and purchase for $.50 per page.
